Hardware

The application is unable to find a configured printer / no printer available

Make sure the cables are not damaged

Please check connection between tablet and printer: remove the USB cable and reconnect

Check if the printer is set to be available in printer settings menu:123 / eee / PRINTERS / available > this must be selected

Only for Tablet with a HUB: current USB entrance is outworn, please use another entrance of the HUB

The application does not have permission to access the printer/does not get "Super User Access"

Restart the tablet and give a print command to print a Satin ribbon.

The tablet will now require “Super User Access”.

You have to accept this permanently (not temporarily or only once).

The tablet does not charge fully

Perhaps the charger is damaged: check the cable and the position of the pin. The pin should be straight and not crooked.

Perhaps the charger is dirty (dust/dirt). Clean the charger gently with a soft cloth.

It is also possible that the tablet has become ‘lazy’: disconnect the charger and shutdown the tablet. Recharge the tablet again.

Satin and Ink

Satin and Ink stick together

The printer is sensitive to temperatures in the room/shop where it stands. As a result, it may sometimes be necessary to adjust the temperature.

When the satin ribbon sticks to the ink, the temperature of the printer is too high. Please go the printer settings: 123 / eee / PRINTERS. Here you can do printing tests by using the buttons you see:  8 – till 15.

For matt ink, start with 9°C. For glossy ink, start with 13 °C. Please be sure to make only SMALL steps per 1°C. When the printing appears neatly on the satin without sticking, you can enter this temperature in TEMP and this temperature will be used for all prints from now on.

Media is finished

Your Satin ribbon or Ink ribbon is finished. Please replace the roll.

Perhaps the Satin ribbon or Ink ribbon is placed incorrectly. Please check and make sure they are well placed on the holder plus that the holders are installed correctly.

.

The Satin and/or Ink rolls around black rubber roller

The black roller in the printer is called the Platen Roller. This Roller is made of rubber and sometimes after intensive use, small ink particles stick to this roll. Please clean this rybbe Platen roller with a slightly damped cloth.

Please always make sure the Satin and Ink ribbons are well placed on the holder plus that the holders are installed correctly in the printer.

The cardboard wind-on tube doesn't turn

Please check if you have installed the Ink holders correctly.

What size of Ink should be used with the Satins?

For each Satin size we supply a suitable size of Ink. For example: for the 20 mm Satins we supply the 30 mm Ink, for the 40 mm Satins we supply the 50 mm Ink.

It is no problem to use bigger sizes of Ink for a smaller size of Satin.

The Satin ribbon does not come out of the printer

After intensive printing the Cutter can be blocked because of unwanted residual material. Please clean the Cutter exit gently with a soft little brush. Reinstall the Satin and push on the FEED button on the front of the printer: a small piece of satin will come out > now you know that the Cutter exit is free again.

When the temperature settings are wrong and the Satin sticks to the Ink, the Satin does not come out of the printer. Please check issue: “Satin and Ink stick together”.

The Ink Ribbon got torn, what should I do?

When the temperature of the printer is too high, Ink Ribbons might get torn. Please check the Printer settings and correct when temperature settings are too high.

Stick the Ink together with a small peace of adhesive tape.

Please check if the Satin ribbon is placed in the centre of the media holder

Adjust the printing position in the settings: 123 / eee / PRINTERS / Offset: here you determine where the text is positioned on the satin. You do this with + and/or – . For a quick print test, use the buttons you also use temperature tests. For matt ink use the 9 and for glossy inks use the 13. Correct until you have the position of the text centered properly according to your wish.
