1What is the general delivery time?

If all products are in stock, your order will be shipped within 2 working days. The expected delivery time is then:

  • 1-2 days for BENELUX;
  • 2-3 days for other European countries;
  • 3-5 days outside Europe.

2Do I have a warranty on my purchase?

The hardware has a 1-year warranty.

3How do I return my order?

Ink & satin

1Which ink is suitable for which ribbon width?

We have the right ink for every ribbon width:

• Use our 30mm x 55m for 10, 16 and 20mm satin;
• Use 50mm x 30m for 40mm satin;
• Use our 80mm x 30m for 70mm satin;
• Use our 110mm x 30m for 100mm satin.

It's no problem to use larger ink sizes for smaller satins.

2Am I required to use PIY RIBBONS ink & satin?

You are not required to use our ink or satin ribbons. However, the warranty will expire. Our inks and satins have been thoroughly tested and are 100% compatible with our PIY RIBBONS printers.

Printer & printing

1What should I do if the inside of the printer or the printhead is dirty?

Check that the satin and ink are properly installed. Check that the sensor is properly placed. Make sure the ink station is properly closed. Check that the ink holders are installed properly.

2What should I do if the inside of the printer or the printhead is dirty?

You can clean these parts of your printer using our Cleaning Tissues.

TIP: Clean your printer every time you change your satin or ink.

3Which temperature should I use to print?

The ideal print temperature for matte inks is 11 degrees. For glossy inks, this is 13 degrees. You may need a temperature that is one degree below or above the recommended temperature. This depends on the ambient temperature.

4Ink adheres to the satin ribbon. What should I do?

The cause is probably too high a printing temperature. The ideal temperature for matte inks is 11 degrees and for glossy inks 13 degrees. Does the ink still adhere to the satin ribbon? Lower the printer's temperature one degree at a time.
